People and presence
Mermaids are aquatic people whose grace and presence carry the rhythm of the sea into unfamiliar places. Water is a homeland, a road, and a keeper of history. Their traditions preserve news through songs that can travel farther than a single household, while ornaments and textiles often recall currents, shells, and the play of light beneath the surface. Life among shore-dwelling peoples asks for ingenuity and negotiation.
A Mermaid competitor brings a strong sense of movement, an affinity for water, and the ability to hold an audience's attention. Some become ambassadors between coastal communities. Others follow lost routes, distant performances, or a rival whose challenge has become impossible to ignore. Their charm can inspire teammates as readily as it unsettles the opposition.
Octo-mermaid Souls emphasize Intelligence, imagining several approaches to a problem before committing. Shark mermaid Souls favor Stamina and purposeful persistence. Siren Souls express Charisma through voice and presence. These are Soul traditions with their own listed colors; their names do not alter the separately recorded Body or the equipment rules used for a match.
Reading the build
Body color and Soul color are independent. A different Race Soul or an Oversoul can accompany this Body. Physical or cultural descriptions do not automatically equip abilities. Check the selected ability for cost, target, timing, and effect.
