The class toolkit
Named progression abilities are part of the class pool. Level gates are not extra ability slots. Selected-path, resource, and activation requirements still apply.
| Level | Ability | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Honored Cut | Strike with discipline and maintain the Honor state. |
| 4 | Guarded Stances | Choose a stance for the current exchange. |
| 5 | Code of the Blade | Focus technique through the chosen Samurai specialization. |
| 6 | Iaijutsu; Perfect Parry | Draw into a precise strike or turn a well-timed parry into advantage. |
| 8 | Closing Stroke | Spend accumulated Focus on a finishing technique. |
| 9 | Way of the Sword | Enter a heightened Focus state through disciplined swordplay. |
| 10 | One Mind | Execute the Samurai's ultimate unified technique. |
In the story and on the track
Samurai rely on parries, stances, and draw strikes. Focus supports techniques, while Honor affects passive statistics. Samurai players cultivate a recognizable stillness before action. In practice yards and crowded arenas, the turn of a stance or a hand near the hilt can become a signature. Ronin stake their reputation on the duel, Royal Guards on the person who survives behind them, and Town Guards on the ground they keep under control. A well-timed parry gives the class its sharpest satisfaction: discipline made visible in a single exchange.
Resource rhythm
Discipline and parries build Focus. Honor is a passive state that affects statistics.
Specialization paths
Ronin — solitary duelist (Strength); Royal Guard — bodyguard and defense (Stamina); Town Guard — mobile control (Agility).
How it fits a build
Class and Spec each occupy one of the four core ability slots. Six stat slots complete the ten-ability layout. Class progression abilities are slot-free and level-gated; selecting a path does not automatically grant every alternative path. Costs, targets, timing, and access requirements still apply.
Keep exploring.
