The class toolkit
Named progression abilities are part of the class pool. Level gates are not extra ability slots. Selected-path, resource, and activation requirements still apply.
| Level | Ability | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Judgments | Deliver a holy judgment and build the Paladin's combat rhythm. |
| 4 | Blessings; Cleanse | Bless an ally or remove an eligible harmful condition. |
| 5 | Favor's Reprieve | Spend Divine Favor on a specialization-appropriate holy effect. |
| 6 | Consecration | Hallow an area to apply holy pressure within it. |
| 8 | Divine Shield | Raise the Paladin's protective bubble against incoming danger. |
| 9 | Guardian of Ancient Kings | Call the guardian avatar to reinforce the Paladin's holy role. |
| 10 | Aura Mastery | Bring the Paladin's established auras to ultimate strength. |
In the story and on the track
Paladins combine Seals, Judgments, Blessings, and Auras. Combat and healing build Divine Favor, which supplements Mana for stronger abilities. Paladins make their commitments visible. A familiar Aura gathering around the party, a Blessing offered before the push, or a Judgment delivered at the turning point gives teammates something to rally around. Fortress Paladins make protection their calling; Righteous Paladins carry that conviction into melee; Arcane Smiters express it through spellwork. Players choose their emblems and rituals with care, turning repeated acts of defense and healing into a recognizable presence.
Resource rhythm
Combat and healing generate Divine Favor. Favor pays for powerful abilities alongside the class's Mana use.
Specialization paths
Arcane Smiter — holy/arcane casting (Intelligence); Fortress Paladin — pure defense (Stamina); Righteous Paladin — melee damage (Strength).
How it fits a build
Class and Spec each occupy one of the four core ability slots. Six stat slots complete the ten-ability layout. Class progression abilities are slot-free and level-gated; selecting a path does not automatically grant every alternative path. Costs, targets, timing, and access requirements still apply.
Keep exploring.
