The class toolkit
Named progression abilities are part of the class pool. Level gates are not extra ability slots. Selected-path, resource, and activation requirements still apply.
| Level | Ability | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Field Scan | Read an observable opponent to obtain basic combat information. |
| 4 | Cross-Reference; Lending Desk | Improve scan detail and share an available scroll with an ally. |
| 5 | Inscribe Scroll | Prepare an eligible scroll through the selected Librarian discipline. |
| 6 | Deep Analysis | Reveal combat cooldown information through a focused analysis. |
| 8 | Annotated Battlefield | Deliver a decisive tactical read of observable match conditions. |
| 9 | Loremaster's Focus | Enter a heightened state of insight for analysis and information use. |
| 10 | Rewrite Reality | Invoke an authorized in-match rule manipulation through the Librarian's ultimate. |
In the story and on the track
Librarians collect information, analyze opponents, and manage resources or recorded abilities. Their specializations use recorded events, team resource adjustments, or changes to the match's narrative. Librarians make every match worth studying. Archivists cherish a perfectly recorded turning point, Bookkeepers notice the resource shortage before it becomes a defeat, and Storytellers recognize when the team needs a different ending. Their tomes collect the texture of competition as well as its data: rival habits, improbable saves, and encounters worth remembering. Opponents who dismiss the quiet player taking notes may discover they have been supplying the most useful reading material.
Resource rhythm
Observation and analysis build the Knowledge Pool. Applied effects spend Knowledge, and Librarians can share it with allies. Scroll Charges supply utility effects.
Specialization paths
Archivist — record and replay events/abilities (Intelligence); Bookkeeper — ally resource/stat optimization (Intelligence); Storyteller — bounded narrative manipulation (Charisma).
How it fits a build
Class and Spec each occupy one of the four core ability slots. Six stat slots complete the ten-ability layout. Class progression abilities are slot-free and level-gated; selecting a path does not automatically grant every alternative path. Costs, targets, timing, and access requirements still apply.
Limits matter
Versatility is not a seventh stat. Recording, rewind, probability changes and narrative events follow their individual ability limits; an evocative name does not permit unrestricted rewriting.
Keep exploring.
