In the story and on the track

Beast Masters fight alongside a companion. Beast Hunters use Mana, while Beast Trainers and Soul Survivors use Spirit. Coordinated attacks, commands, and mutual protection shape the partnership without building a separate Bond resource. Beast Master players tell their match stories in the plural. The companion has a name, a favorite opening, and usually a fan in the stands who cheers louder for it than for its partner. Hunters practice patient ambushes; Trainers polish the exchange between command and response; Soul Survivors fight as though neither half can afford to yield. A brilliant solo play can still be a poor partnership if it leaves the companion stranded.

Resource rhythm

Use the resource for the selected specialization: Mana for Beast Hunter, Spirit for Beast Trainer and Soul Survivor. Spirit draws directly from Stamina. The ability and game mode define spending and recovery; companion cooperation does not create a separate resource bar.

Specialization paths

Beast Hunter — traps, tracking and stealthy companions; Mana (Intelligence); Beast Trainer — companion improvements and allied buffs; Spirit (Charisma); Soul Survivor — shared health and resilience; Spirit (Stamina).

How it fits a build

Class and Spec each occupy one of the four core ability slots. Six stat slots complete the ten-ability layout. Class progression abilities are slot-free and level-gated; selecting a path does not automatically grant every alternative path. Costs, targets, timing, and access requirements still apply.

Partner Soul Sync

Soul Survivors may receive qualifying Soul Sync starting levels through their partners. One benefit starts an ability at level 2. Dread's Tiger's Roar starts at level 3 from Thunder and her own sonic scream; Shark Skin starts at level 2 through Sunder. The ceiling remains level 7, Mythical. There is no separate Bond resource.

Keep exploring.
