The class toolkit
Named progression abilities are part of the class pool. Level gates are not extra ability slots. Selected-path, resource, and activation requirements still apply.
| Level | Ability | In practice |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Measured Shot; Combat Reload | Fire accurately and reload the equipped firearm. |
| 4 | Special Delivery | Load and fire the first special shot appropriate to the equipped firearm. |
| 5 | Weapon Affinity | Develop control of the selected firearm style. |
| 6 | Trick Shot; Ammunition Switch | Use an angled shot or select an available specialty ammunition type. |
| 8 | Deadeye Expenditure | Spend accumulated Focus on a powerful precision shot. |
| 9 | Quickdraw | Surge into a heightened gunfighting state. |
| 10 | Bullet Time | Enter a time-slowing precision window for the decisive exchange. |
In the story and on the track
Gunslingers manage Ammunition and Focus. Reloading limits weapon use; aiming and hits build Focus for stronger shots. Gunslinger players remember the pauses between shots: the breath before a long sightline opens, the reload a teammate covers, the instant a Quickdraw commits to the rush. Snipers prize patience, Soldiers make pressure dependable, and dual-pistol skirmishers make movement part of their aim. Customized weapons and practiced flourishes are part of the class's culture, but a stylish draw means little without enough Ammunition left for the actual fight.
Resource rhythm
Ammunition requires reloading. Aiming and successful hits build Focus, which supports stronger shots.
Specialization paths
Quickdraw — dual-pistol skirmishing (Agility); Sniper — stealth and long range (Dexterity); Soldier — heavy weapons, grenades and suppression (Strength).
How it fits a build
Class and Spec each occupy one of the four core ability slots. Six stat slots complete the ten-ability layout. Class progression abilities are slot-free and level-gated; selecting a path does not automatically grant every alternative path. Costs, targets, timing, and access requirements still apply.
Keep exploring.
