El Maguey produces a gel-like sap that can be used as a salve or hardened into a sweet, solid form. The sap holds water, mana or the concentrated power of sunlight, making these reserves easy to carry and use.
Water is the quickest reserve to prepare. Mana requires more time. Sunlight pearls take longest: they contain light mana, a form of regular mana purified and condensed through sunlight. A Maguey forms these reserves through meditation in sunlight. A pearl may develop over days or years, and prolonged cultivation can produce a stronger result.
