THE MOMENT
"You're too late, Mr. Majesty!" L. S. cackled as electricity arced around him. Storm clouds gathered overhead, seemingly ignoring the strong winds gusting through the park. It'd been a sunny, clear day minutes ago, before 'Lightning Strike', struck. The day was nice enough for plenty of park goers, and among them was John Majesty, one of the town's top Heroes. He'd acted fast as soon as L. S. arrived, but electricity wasn't the villain's only power. He was a top-tier genius and his invention was currently drawing in energy to power him up further.
"Nothing can stop me now! I've got unlimited charge!" He raised his hands forward and electric beams struck John, but he barely flinched. He wasn't popular without reason, and it was easy to shrug off the blasts.
"Unlimited charge huh?" John asked as he walked forward. The park goers made an attempt at getting to a safe distance, but they still mostly milled around. "That was barely enough to charge my phone," he chuckled.
"I'LL SHOW YOU!" L. S. raise his voice as power surged through him.
"WAITTT!!!" John put his hands out in a panic and even dropped to his knees for dramatic effect. That was enough that L. S. relaxed and tilted his head at his nemesis.
"Did you ask me to wait?" he asked with a chuckle.
"You don't understand!" Once L. S. stopped gathering electricity, John hopped to his feet again and rushed forward while he pulled something out of his pocket. "I just thought of it right now, can you charge my phone??" he asked.
"What?" L. S. looked around at the civilians and shook his head. "This guy doesn't know how dire the situation is," he said to everyone, and no one in particular. He got a few nervous chuckles in response.
"No, it's important, I swear! My phone died but I gotta log in to finish my daily quests!" he looked around. "I mean.. you guys have heard of Raid: Shadow Legends, right?"
"OH! I've heard of Raid: Shadow Legends!" L. S. replied with an enthusiastic nod. "You mean to tell me, John Majesty, hero of heroes plays Raid: Shadow Legends??" he asked.
"What can I say, it's fun!" John chuckled.
"Well, with praise like that from an honest Super Hero... I think I have to try it... may I?" he reached for John's phone, and the hero gave it to him with a smile.
"Of course! Don't forget, you, and all you civilians...," he smiled at the group who'd moved closer as soon as L. S. stopped sparking. "Use my promo code!"
