THE SST MULTIVERSE · CHARACTER HISTORY
Abby Araña.
Content note: Violence, abuse and death.
Spider · Templar of the Web
A Toku-high student and Unique Soul #33, La Araña. Abby sees through and controls spiders, once embraced the name Spider, and becomes a powerful Paladin. Her history follows Ballisea’s B-Squad, work for Dara and Dana Sharp, her growing closeness with Turbo, and her effort to leave her killing habits behind.
ACROSS HER HISTORY
The person
behind the name.
Learning to see again
Janet’s attack leaves Abby with empty eye sockets and 33 carved into her arm. The spiders repairing her wounds also give her a way to see. She names Skeeter, accepts his help and discovers new strength. Ballisea says she allowed the carving to happen and persuades Abby that her parents have rejected her. At a house with changed locks and Janet’s name on her room, Abby believes that story and releases her spiders on Janet. The source shows the attack, but does not confirm Janet’s death or prove Ballisea’s claims about the family.
A place in the B-Squad
Flutter introduces Abby to Ballisea’s other recruits. The group’s frightening-looking revolt turns out to be a pillow fight, and Lupe later joins their training camp. Eury becomes Abby’s close friend and roommate. Before school, Abby worries that being Ballisea’s team will make them outsiders; Lupe reminds both girls that they were chosen because Ballisea believes in them. Byron eventually arrives as the sixth recruit. These stories were written across several years, but their dates do not establish how much time passes in Abby’s life.
Taken, changed and calling herself Spider
Alan Crane abducts Abby after his scorpion Sleepy gets past her defenses. A later account says someone tried to feed her to a giant Araña; she survived, consumed part of it before it died and took its soul. The escape itself is not shown, and the collection does not explicitly connect every part of that account to Alan’s assignment. Back at school, Abby keeps the details close and drifts toward solitude. She turns Qira and Kristoffer’s attempted predation against them, begins calling herself Spider and insists that strangers use that name. An assassin named Ian learns how dangerous it is to assume she is defenseless.
Kindness and cruelty
Turbo gives Abby a better visor and treats Skeeter and Lefty as friends rather than horrors. She lets him call her Abs. Alongside that tenderness, the collection shows her killing Will’s companions for amusement, finding venom that can overcome his regeneration and admitting that she ate Santa for the taste of magic. Fawn survives because Abby cannot find a reason to kill her. Lonnie is not so fortunate: touching Spider fills his mind with her name until it is all he can experience.
The Paladin and the awakened
Abby’s school work and adventures take her through game servers where NPCs sometimes awaken as Unique Souls. She explains the multiverse when it suits her, but often sees an awakening as an opportunity to gain strength. Luke, Aracelli and Madame Arachne encounter that side of her; Duncan is released when Ace tells her to let him go. Her Paladin spellbook, equipment and quest rules become regular parts of her life. Away from quests she eats and laughs with the team, and receives Justice Knight’s description of her evil with obvious pleasure.
Dara’s orders and Sharp’s trust
Dara gives Abby a clear bargain: obey her orders, keep their actions secret and stop killing independently in exchange for more opportunities. Abby helps expose Wendell Weaver and is left to punish him. At the assassins’ guild she takes the black-card jobs other members avoid and is called the Templar of the Web. Crystal’s Venado aura prevents her from finding a reason to kill Crystal, but Crystal refuses to call that friendship or approve of her violence. Dana Sharp nevertheless trusts Abby with the location of La Espada, a unique sword capable of leaving permanent cuts between universes. Abby obeys the instruction not to use it; Crystal secretly overhears.
What she chooses to do
Abby tells Eridanus that the Supers she killed while waiting were her own choice. She continues encountering awakened characters while questing, including the Paladin King and Roman, and helps Dara restore a scripted fight with Super Chuck. In a battle-royale session, she trains with a separate Araña called Spider. Her visit to Dara’s fairy-raised twin Rhapsody reveals something more personal: Abby is disappointed that Rhapsody loves her parents and admits feeling alone in having hated her own.
New eyes, a different name
Turbo makes Abby nano-spiders that form glossy black eyes, and she proudly shows Eury. A later meeting with John Majesty shows her sneaking into her family’s home and speaking of mutual love despite their differences. The collection does not explain how this family situation relates to her origin. When Ultranaught provokes her, Abby says she is trying to break old habits. She briefly reverts to shouting Spider, then stops, apologizes and asks to be called Abby. Turbo comes to comfort her and takes her back to the lab.
Neighbors, friendship and a wedding
Abby explains alternate universes to Janelle, an old acquaintance who has distanced herself but still trusts her. With Astra and Ben, she spends time inside a game without making its violence the center of the scene and talks about working with Vivi on wedding dresses. She hopes Turbo can attend with her if his work on Error 23 allows it. John later calls on her for an ordinary favor: deliver a child’s forgotten bag so he can finish the shelves at home. Her answer is not included.
A match for the timeline
Abby, Astra, Jubilee, Monday and Quinn discover that Error 23 comes from Io, a Unique A.I. spreading across universes. Dana Sharp wants to reset the timeline, but needs unanimous Council approval. Ballisea withholds her vote and offers to award it to the winner of a derby match between the girls and a team representing Io. Buddy becomes their neutral coach and sets out to recruit a sixth teammate. The collection does not include the result of that match.

About this collection
The PDF contains 127 pages; page 127 is blank. Its 43 story headings contain 42 prose episodes, totaling 39,037 words after prompt and cast headings are removed.
The dates are the dates printed with the stories, not a demonstrated in-world calendar. The last explicit year heading is 2023. The February–March Reclassed entries after Sight. Unexpected. have no new year heading, so no year has been assigned to them.
Attempted Grief and Web of Events both have headings on page 117. The following emperor narrative on pages 118–120 matches Attempted Grief. No separate village narrative corresponding to Web of Events appears in the supplied PDF. The complete emperor prose is retained under Attempted Grief with a note.
The origin presents apparent parental rejection under Ballisea’s guidance; later stories portray a loving but strained family relationship. No reconciliation, alternate-family explanation or confirmation of Ballisea’s claims is supplied.
The collection does not show Abby escaping captivity. Her later account of consuming a giant Araña is preserved without asserting an undocumented link between every part of that episode and Alan Crane’s subway assignment.
Skeeter and Lefty vary in species, size, coloration and eye-socket placement across the source. Their full prose is unchanged; the overview does not impose one permanent appearance.
The school bully Janet and the black-cat dispatcher Janet are not identified as the same character. The mercenary Ben and Astra’s wolfdog Ben are distinct. Eridani and Eridanus are not merged. The ninja Spider listed alongside Abby is not Abby’s alias.
The final story ends with John asking Abby to deliver the bag. Her acceptance or delivery, and the later derby result, are not shown.
