The Sol running Sharp Development’s new Nexus Academy, nicknamed Toku-high. Mundo describes his plan for a more casual school open to all Unique Souls.
Earlier eras: Who He Is
Regal is a powerful El Sol with a specific vision: a **multiversal school for Unique Souls** — a place where Uniques can learn, grow, and be around others of their kind.
He is one of the most notable Unique Souls Dana tracked during her research loops. His power is in the upper tier of non-Ballisea entities. Dana initially thought he was close to Ballisea's actual level; she was wrong, but he was still significant enough to be worth building a whole scheme around.
Earlier eras: Dana's Setup
Starting in Loop 15, Dana worked entirely behind the scenes to arrange a wager between Regal and Ballisea: a team-based AlterNet Roller Derby match. Neither Regal nor Ballisea knew she was involved.
Ballisea's team lost Loop 15's bet. The formal nature of the wager made it destined to repeat. Over subsequent loops, the bet became a fixture.
In Loop 17, Ballisea **lost** the bet to Regal — but enjoyed the match enough that she honored it graciously and gifted Regal a universe for his school.
Loop 20 onward, Dana inserted herself as a neutral third party in the bet. By Loop 21, she expanded it into the full four-Court (later six-Court) structure.
Earlier eras: Toku-high
Regal's school dream became the foundation for **Toku-high** — the school for Unique Souls that became the setting for the main SST-era arcs. Dana essentially arranged Toku-high to exist while corralling interesting Uniques she'd tracked over loops into attending.
